I went to bed at 12 last night and set my alarm for 9am. I got up at 7:30.

When does the archaeology thing wear off, [livejournal.com profile] maric23?

Me: Am I Lara Croft now?
Bess: No. Your breasts are too realistic.

Apparently in the original video game they were conical. And apparently the movies aren't really worth watching. Any thoughts?

I would have never guessed that I'm a forensics person. Archaeology, definitely, but forensics? Well I guess they're interrelated. But I'd much rather be working with architecture. And on the tel.

So as most of you know, every so often I start getting this restless feeling of wanting to change something in my appearance, that doesn't go away until I do it. Not necessarily that I find anything wrong with myself, but every so often I need a change. Past changes have been:
-the nose-stud
-dressing tzniusly
-dying the hair red
-dying the hair back to naturalness
-dying the hair turquoise or other insane colors
-wearing pants again
-losing weight, though this was more gradual and doesn't really count as a sudden change of appearance
-cutting the hair ubershort

etc. Those are the main ones, though.

So now the question comes up: I've had my hair natural for a while now (like almost a year!!) and I think that's what I'm getting tired of (I mean, I can also cut it again, since it's been 2 months, but it can only be so short...and right now it's long enough to french braid). So do I keep it as is, since after all dying your hair too much is a bad idea, and my hair doesn't look bad, even if I think it's rather boring, or do I dye it red? And by red I mean either my old color (see the LJ icon of me in the green dress) or something more auburn or something light red (like I had towards the end of 1st semester freshman year, if any of you Penn people remember). Or do I dye it something else? (I do have to apply to grad schools, so probably not something unnatural, at least until I get in...)

I can't think of anything else to change. I don't want another piercing (though for a while I considered getting an eyebrow ring) and my wardrobe is fine right now, and I'm all archaeologically fit now... Maybe I could start wearing my hair in scarfy things, or putting on make-up when it's not shabbat (yeah right, totally not happening. I don't even bother with the make-up some shabbats) or wearing jewelery...But I've gotten so used to being casual since I was on the dig. Like no one cared. And I like living that way.

Suggestions?
