Not all skirts are created equal

This morning on my way to the gym I had an adventure. I decided to bike since I also wanted to go to Trader Joe's which is on 22nd and Market, quite a hike from 42nd and Spruce.

I was wearing my olive skirt, you know the cool one with pleats that I love? I started out fine and then my skirt got stuck in the gear, so I got off the bike, knotted the skirt on the sides, and when I got to the gym, I afterwards decided that I'd stay in my gym pants which made riding a hell of a lot easier.

On the way to Trader joe's my bike made a weird clicking sound, and I freaked out and thought I was going to crash or something. Then I realized the kickstand was hitting the spokes.

And my legs started killing me when I was on my way back. Never never never do weights that work your quads before you go biking. Mad ouchiness will ensue.

I just saw a mouse. It ran back under the couch and away, but still, the idea that there's a mouse that could be in the apartment is disturbing. Usually I have the philosophy of "If I don't see it, it doesn't exist" but still. Mice are less scary than cockroaches, but they are also bigger. I suppose I could have a pet mouse, and then it would be ok. I mean living out life in a cage being fed and having everyone think you're cute is better than dying by a trap, exterminator, or cat. Though I do want a cat. Ilana isn't allergic to cats, but she is allergic to dust mites. Maybe if we had a shorthaired one, and I vaccuumed daily... They shed, but fur isn't the same thing as dust, right?

1. The Most Annoying Thing About Being Frum. What is it, in your opinion?
The whole modesty thing. Not the clothing, because that's fine, but everything else. I'm not good at not showing my talents and hoping some guy will just notice me, because that only works for pretty girls. I'm good at singing, and I can't sing in front of guys. Beyond that, it also sucks that I can't lead services, not only because I miss it, but also because the people who lead kabbalat shabbat rarely sing it. :(

Yes, if i could find a flight to Hungary that was cheap enough. And if I could stay by you.

Sure, tons of them. But only the ones I'd never tell anyone. Most things that I'd tell some people end up on LJ, albeit filtered.

Not at all. I've probably been using computers since I was 6. I used to play educational computer games and stuff, like reader rabbit. Man, I was so addicted to those things. I wanna go back and see if my mom still has them, just for amusement's sake.
