Not all skirts are created equal
Aug. 24th, 2005 12:00 amThis morning on my way to the gym I had an adventure. I decided to bike since I also wanted to go to Trader Joe's which is on 22nd and Market, quite a hike from 42nd and Spruce.
I was wearing my olive skirt, you know the cool one with pleats that I love? I started out fine and then my skirt got stuck in the gear, so I got off the bike, knotted the skirt on the sides, and when I got to the gym, I afterwards decided that I'd stay in my gym pants which made riding a hell of a lot easier.
On the way to Trader joe's my bike made a weird clicking sound, and I freaked out and thought I was going to crash or something. Then I realized the kickstand was hitting the spokes.
And my legs started killing me when I was on my way back. Never never never do weights that work your quads before you go biking. Mad ouchiness will ensue.
