Shiny shiny shiny!!!
Jul. 19th, 2007 02:20 pmIt's my first ball of yarn on the wheel! I was having trouble yesterday, but today I switched some of the pieces so I'd be spinning on a larger and slower-moving bobbin. Then I decided that instead of using the Icelandic roving that came with the wheel, I'd use my merino wool, since the merino is a lot smoother, and it's easier to spin with better fibers.
And my efforts paid off. And now I can spin. It's not 100% even, but as I got the hang of it, my spinning became more regular.
And now I have to figure out what to make out of this ball of yarn!
