I was with your Malm last night!

(Or alternatively: in which Ikea beats Rachel 10:1)

I moved in today. lopaanre and C helped me assemble my Ikea furniture. By the end I was getting pretty good at it.

We only made a few mistakes, and they were all easily correctable. But unfortunately my chest of drawers (the Malm) is missing two sets of the side rails that let the drawers slide in and out (and keep them from falling apart).

So I called Ikea and got their automated answering service. And I waited. And waited. And waited. And waited. 15 minutes later someone finally picked up, only to tell me that I needed to go back to the store with my receipt so they would know I actually bought it.

So I called the parentals. And they said they might get to Ikea tomorrow.

If that is the case, maybe I can also get them to bring more stuff from home that I've forgotten, such as my swiss chocolate (I NEED chocolate right now!) my tea from China, my laundry bag, a small trash can, a mirror, etc.

I'm in the midst of unpacking now. My bed is all made, so if I wanted to give up and go to sleep, it would certainly be a possibility. But I'd like to finish as much as I can, so it will really feel like MY room.

And my bed is gorgeous! I love it! It looks especially amazing because I have this beautiful blue and gold bedspread from India given to me by Celine. Once my room is presentable, I will take pictures and post them for all of you to see.
