I voted yesterday after class ended at 10:15. There was no line. Afterwards I went outside and took pictures.

And then headed back to the museum and took more pictures.

This was supposed to be a reward for all of my hard work and all of the work I was going to do.

Unfortunately complications arose and I was not able to do anything productive yesterday, either for my thesis or for my classes.

Today is a new day, and I hope to at least get the homework out of the way. And if I write 1 paragraph or read one chapter for either thesis I'll be happy. Obviously I'd like to do more, but at least it's a start.

I also made the other half of the dough (and added some water so it's not as dry as the cookies from Shabbat) and I'm going to take the cookies to the museum today for everyone to eat. Maybe I'll swing by the chem building around 3:30 (or right before 3:30) and visit Ben and offer him the cookie that he didn't know he missed by cancelling the thesis meeting.

It's raining today, which sucks, because I would have liked to do more photography. Maybe this will force me to work. I'll head to the museum once I've done my communities wiki entry stuff.

Cookies were eaten in Janet Monge's office, as we celebrated the Democratic victory. I'll probably bring more by the museum tomorrow, since I missed some people who had left early. I did get to speak to Ben, who might be driving to the ASOR conference (which would be quite shiny). And I gave him a cookie.

Everyone liked the cookies. I ate half of one, and thought "well, there are cookies down in mashingland, so I can just have one of those."

Unfortunately there are none right now. And my precious cookies are upstairs. And we're not supposed to bring in outside food here, no matter how kosher it is.

There is sushi, though. This is a new development. The sushi-lady is new to this kitchen, so I have to actually keep a watch and make sure she brings nothing in to or out of the pareve kitchen.

Meanwhile, I'm not sure who is covering this weekend mashingwise, but I'm not going to be around.

*Edit* they're out of chocolate chip cookies!!! [Though I did manage to get a smoothie, which is quite shiny.]
