toiveling

I went to the river today to toivel my new milcheig dishes. Good thing I went in the morning. It's raining and thundering now!

I went with my dad, and we went to the beach right next to the Barrington Chabad Rabbi's house. So then we went to visit the Chabad Rabbi. He seems nice enough, even if he is brainwashing my dad.

In other news, my stomach hurts. Ow.

In other other news, we're going out for Chinese, if the weather is driveable. Right now the rain is insane. Maybe I'll post another set of rain pictures (taken with my mom's digital camera).

I should have waited to toivel. I could have done it in the backyard.

It stopped raining all of a sudden. Weird.

Oh, and I almost forgot- I got another e-mail from Ben! Yay! (Why does this always make my day?) Of course, he'll be gone from e-mail contact this week, as usual. I need to get a life outside of miqva'ot.

And does anyone want to give me a back massage? I could totally use one right now.

An update on the feline weight loss

We have to take Mittens to the vet tomorrow (my parents tried on Saturday but he wouldn't let the doctors examine him- he was flying in the air doing kung-fu apparently, so this time he'll be given anesthesia when he gets there) since the weight loss might be due to a thyroid thing or something. And he's only lost the weight over the past couple of weeks, so it's not so normal.

So I'm no longer jealous of Mittens' effortless weight loss.
