A mostly good reaction

I must say, the worst part of getting something pierced is the anticipation. I was nervous all morning, and I took Allison along for moral support, and it didn't end up hurting for more than a second or two. Getting blood tested is much worse.

So I was quite giddy afterwards ["loopy" as I called it]. Avi Gross was on his way out of Penn, so I ran back to North to say goodbye, and then stuck around to see if people would notice and/or what they thought.

Stupid people

Someone who moved into our building decided that our front porch was a great place to throw the empty cardboard boxes. Someone else decided that their bike handle worked as a garbage can. I just don't get it. Can someone please explain?

[And no, these aren't the "sruce" people, though I haven't seen their garbage bins, so maybe they, too, have sruce bins.]

Finally, I sent off the blanket today. It only cost 8$ or so to send, because I found it a smaller box, and it wasn't so heavy. Though it was a pain to carry. Fortunately I met Sarah Breger on the way, and she helped me with the last block and a half.

In other news, classes start tomorrow. I only have one, though I have a doctor's appointment at 9:00am and a meeting with Janet Monge at 12. Whee!!! Finally some guidance. I also have a meeting with Hellerstein on Thursday.

Hillel dining is open again, which means I get to be lazy.

And the gym was completely full today. Every single elliptical [1st and 3rd floors] was taken. I had to use a treadmill until someone got off one of the ellipticals. It was annoying. I wonder how much an elliptical costs. That could be a good birthday present from my grandparents. Though I also want a cuisinart [for potato kugelness]. Ooooh. I still have the rights to an Ari Levine kugel. Yay for the OCP Auction!!!
