I hate actors!!!!
Feb. 10th, 2004 03:09 pmNow I know how tech felt in Stagemasters. I hate actors. Even though they're my friends. I know you guys are wonderful people, but I don't like dealing with you all in this kind of situation.
In a normal theatre production, there would be many people doing my job instead of just one. We'd all be bossed around by actors, plot our own revolution, write a cute story about it, and have a jolly good time.
Except it's just me. I get really annoyed when people give me conflicting sets of directions. I end up having to run around with absolutely no clue what I'm doing. The only thing I'm certain of is the fact that no matter whose instructions I end up following, I'll be yelled at by someone else. There's always someone else to yell at me.
Then it makes me nervous around them during rehearsal. Chuck and Jo both noticed this. Actually, probably everyone did, but they were the ones who said stuff more. Everyone says not to take it personally...But I can't help but get annoyed when I miss dinner in order to cook food for you people, make sure it's pareve, and then have everybody say "Why don't we order from Cherry Street?"
And when you tell me to get Egg crates for the benches so they're more comfortable. Oh no. You have to sit on them for maybe an hour total. You know what? DEAL WITH IT! I'm a former actress, I should know. Sets aren't comfortable, espectially cheap ones. It's a rule of theatre.
Ok. I'm done ranting. I better get a giant boquet of flowers when this is all over.
