Good and bad news:
+I got a 95 on the proficiency exam
-It doesn't get counted towards my grade
Such a shame. I could use the boost. I'll probably get an A-, though, which is fine by me.
In other news, I made cookies. My cookies rock. You should try one sometime. Yes, I do mean you.
I finished kippah number 2, and am moving onto the third one. At this rate, I'll only have 6 by the deadline. But I can work for a long time on the train to NYC, and during Celine's rehearsals.
Oh yeah. I'm going to NYC for fall break, to visit Celine. I haven't seen her since August. I love Celine, but things are kinda weird. I don't think she really understands my Orthodoxy. I mean she has been exposed to Orthodox Jews, but still she has some inaccurate preconceived notions that I'm working to dispel. We had this whole discussion about interdating a few weeks ago that I'm too lazy to type up at the moment, but ask me about it, and I'd be more than happy to talk.
Sometimes it's good to talk to friends about things you disagree on. This time it made me realize I was right in talking about my own life, though hers is completely different. I can't believe how far we've each gone on our own separate paths. We used to do so much together. Now our lives are completely different. She's starring in plays and going to clubs, and I'm organizing Shabbas dinners and crocheting kippot. Her dreams of fame are starting to come true, bit by bit, while my dreams are still dreams. She knows where she's going, and I have a vague idea, but I know life has a lot of surprises waiting for me.
