Date: 2008-05-18 03:02 pm (UTC)The bigger problem is that d10s and d100s are not- either the sides aren't identical or the angles aren't identical, or both (this is hard to detect on a d100, since it's shaped roughly like a golf ball, but it's still true). Only 4, 6, 8, 12, and 20 have both sides that are the same shape and size and the same angles all around.

d4: 2d2 - one black one white. if white d2 = 2, add 2 to the other die.
d8: 3d2 - one black one white one red. If white d2 = 2, add 2. if red d2 = 2, add 4.
d10: same as d12, but d2 adds 5 and a d6 roll of 6 gets rerolled
d100: roll 2 d10s as above. if the second d10 is 2, add 10. if 3, add 20... if 10, add 90.
d20: ????
