Because [livejournal.com profile] currentlee was sick and there was no cooked food in the house, I made a last-minute decision to go to campus for Shabbat. I figured I'd crash Chabad since they have free food, and then go to gaming. I even brought the remaining rugelah with me, so we could eat it at gaming.

The plan changed a little because [livejournal.com profile] elfsdh and [livejournal.com profile] navelofwine were at services and invited me for dinner. So I went to their place.

During announcements at services, RG mentioned that of anyone wanted to lead any Saturday morning services, to contact her, since she had no one scheduled. So I volunteered to lead psukei if I got their on time, or mussaf if I was late for psukei.

Then we left for [livejournal.com profile] elfsdh and [livejournal.com profile] navelofwine's place.

We got to their place at around 6:30/6:45 and didn't start dinner until 7:30, since the other two guests were at TBS/were late. So in the meantime, we were sitting around.

I was in a lot of pain. I made 2 very stupid decisions before Shabbat. The first was not to put on muscle run cream before Shabbat since I didn't want to go to shul smelling like an old lady. The second was not to bring said cream with me since I couldn't use it on Shabbat. Apparently I was in enough pain to justify using it.

So I took drugs. 2 Aleve. Then an Advil.

Then we started dinner and there was wine, which I drank (it was a late harvest1 and was quite shiny).

Dinner was good, though I was still in pain. Halfway through dinner I took another Advil. Mind you, the suggested dosage for Aleve is 1 pill every 8-12 hours, and you're allowed to have 2 for the first dose. I had taken one earlier, like right before Shabbat (3:30 PM I think). The suggested dose for Advil is 2 Advil. You're not supposed to combine the two. Nor should you drink alcohol. But pain! Pain!

Somehow I survived without an overdose or any discomfort from the drugs, though my pain wasn't completely gone.

At 10 I arrived at gaming. Gaming went forever. (I had another advil at some point. I was quite amusing while on drugs.) I ended up staying by JLR, since [livejournal.com profile] brokenwndw's sleep schedule is broken. (Perhaps you should change your LJ name to "brokenslpschdl" since your sleep schedule seems more broken than Windows is.) So I went to bed by 4:15. I figured I wouldn't make psukei, probably would not make mussaf, but could at least get up by 12 and get lunch.

I woke up at 2:30. (JLR woke up at 2) No psukei. No Mussaf. No lunch! (No lunch? Oh no!)

Luckily I wasn't very hungry. I had some chocolate, but that's it. I ended up hanging out with JLR until Shabbat ended, and not leaving the building until 5:10ish, and therefore not seeing the sun.

Come to think of it, I could have made shalshuddis and at least gotten something, but it wouldn't have been worth it since shalshuddis is usually sparse foodwise.

So then I went home, and now I'm going to make French toast for dinner. I'm finally hungry.

I came home to an e-mail from [livejournal.com profile] elfsdh who was making sure I was alive. I thought, "Wait, why would he think I'm not alive? Oh. The drugs. Oh. The not being at shul today." And it all made sense. So I told him I was alive.

In other news, this xkcd comic is totally me.
