I am so coordinated
Dec. 19th, 2007 01:39 amTonight I got together with
archgirl06 who I haven't seen since June 2006 when I was staying at Y&D's house for Shavuot and she gave me a ride to the airport. She's doing training for work. It was really nice to get to talk to her for an hour and a half before she had to get back and I went off to Buffy-land.
Buffy was good. Some episodes were really weird, as usual.
And at the end my stomach started hurting, probably from lack of real food. As usual. I really need to work on eating real food at regular intervals.
And tonight as I was taking out the trash bag from cleaning the cat litter, I slipped and fell down a few stairs. This hurt. Luckily, the trash bag didn't come open and spill out or anything, and I managed to get it all into the trash barrel outside in one piece. Yesterday my fall was on my left side, today it was on the right. I suppose this means I'm an equal-opportunity self-injurer. And again I didn't swear, but in this case I didn't yell at all. And I probably woke up
adlight in this endeavor, but hopefully she'll forgive me. At least the litterbox is clean!
And I have to pack tomorrow morning so I can be ready when Jon comes to pick me up at 4 (plenty of time, but I might be lunching with
brokenwndw tomorrow, so this way I don't need to rush). Maybe I'll even get some research done tomorrow morning (yeah right.) And I need to go to campus anyways to get my prescriptions filled.
List:
The gargantuan quantity of laundry in my room
The cooler my parents left (in the basement) New and improved, now filled with laundry!
My suitcase (also in the basement) Also filled with laundry
Contact lens and glasses stuff In one of my bags
The old lappy (In front of me for now)
The new lappy
Stuff to work on the papers
An adequate knitting supply (my mom has a stash of yarn, but it is all acrylic. Sure, I can make charity scarves out of acrylic, but it's still acrylic. I'd rather make charity scarves out of cheap wool which is wool. Maybe I'll settle. Oooh! I know! Socks are small! Socks are portable. Socks should take me the entire trip and if not I can bring enough for a second pair, and also baby socks, which take very little yarn. I can use this yarn for a pair of socks for me! Mine!!! And I'll bring the yarn for
hatam_soferet's scarf as well, just in case. And my clapotis, which is almost done. And the hat for
brokenwndw if I don't finish that tomorrow.)
Medicines
Chocolate stash of some sort
Camera
Jewelry (Though I think over Shabbat I lost a necklace that I got in Israel 4 years ago, that I really like and have matching earrings for. The bright side is that I'm sure it didn't cost a fortune, and I'm going to Israel in 4 days, so I should be able to replace it in some form. I'll bring the earrings to match the necklace.

Apparently I'm also supposed to bring a bathingsuit, but I have no clue how I would actually be able to wear it and swim barring wearing a giant t-shirt over it. Where is it going to be warm enough to swim? Israel is cold in the winter! I don't really have such a strong desire to swim anyways. (This is what happens when you become crazy religious and don't wear swimsuits in public.)
I still feel sick...
Other things to do:
Turn heat down to 56 before I leave for good
I'm sure there's more.
