HRSFA (the Harvard Radcliffe Science Fiction Association) had a Buffy- viewing session tonight. They're starting with season 1 and will go through season 4 over the course of the year, meeting on Tuesdays from 10pm-12am.
Although a lot of my friends watch[ed] Buffy religiously, I didn't get into it, because when I met my friends they were all in the middle of the season. And then my friends who were starting watching it were watching it late at night in the highrise when I was already long asleep in my apartment. And I figured that Buffy watching should be a social event, and didn't want to just watch the series by myself. And then I found out about this. And now there is Buffy in my life.
Tonight the people there decided to watch another episode after the first two, and I needed to leave because the buses only run so late. I might have made the 12:45 bus, but I didn't want to risk it. And there's German.
Luckily,
currentlee has the entire series. So your collection will actually be useful, in that I can watch whatever episodes I might miss or that they'll skip (since there isn't time to show *every* one...)
It was fun. I met a lot of cool people. And I found out that their next general meeting is on Sunday. So I can become an official member. :)
So thank you,
dr_whom for getting me to actually sign up for the listserv. Now I can have a geeky social life. Though unfortunately they game on Friday nights. I suppose I could daven at Hillel and go to gaming from there, since most games are playable on Shabbat. It would just be a matter of getting home afterwards. Maybe I can find a place to crash and bring clothes for Saturday, and walk home after morning services. Gaming Shabbatot would be really cool.
Of course, now I'm too tired to do German competently. So I might as well go to bed and do it tomorrow, since I have from 11-3 free. And I can save time on transportation if I skip lunch!
