A ball of yarn I just spun and plied. Merino wool. It's very soft.



In other news, I met with my advisor today. He's a really nice guy. And he likes my idea of studying purity in comparative religions. I had printed out a list of classes I was considering, and he thought they were good options, and that they had enough variety. So I managed to make him think that I was on top on things and knew what I was doing.

You can buy a whole bed at Ikea? How much did it cost?

The frame is $149 for a double/full size, and the slats that you put underneath are extra money, though you could alternatively have a box spring. And then there's the mattress, which I got separately. I'm not sure whether or not Ikea has mattresses...

I would say it weighs in favor of the bed. Comfort is important, especially if you're in a high stress environment like law school. You need a good night's sleep. I don't do well on futons for extended periods of time.

And most ikea beds cost similar amounts, so you might as well get a pretty one if you can.

Yeah. Someone could live in an Ikea store, except for the lack of working (as in not display) showers. It would be a fun experiment to try and spend an extended amount of time there.

I know! I fell in love with campus!

(Though I have to admit that when you see my pictures you're getting a biased view of the school. It's the same thing with all the Penn pictures I posted last year. I like taking pictures of pretty things. But in this case, pretty much the entire campus is gorgeous. It was even beautiful in December, which was when I visited. And I need to be in a pretty place. So I think I made a good decision.)
