Shabbat at [livejournal.com profile] taylweaver's was quite enjoyable. We went to [livejournal.com profile] mbarr's for dinner, although we were pretty late. I was the one bringing the challah, so the meal hadn't started yet. [livejournal.com profile] cynara_linnaea was there, as was [livejournal.com profile] crewgrrl and [livejournal.com profile] debka_notion and [livejournal.com profile] masteraleph. I wasn't expecting [livejournal.com profile] cynara_linnaea or [livejournal.com profile] crewgrrl so they were a nice surprise.

Actually, I had an amusing conversation with [livejournal.com profile] levana_b on Thursday night which went something like:

Me: Are you going to be there?
Her: No.
Me: Oh well. At least I get to see [livejournal.com profile] cynara_linnaea by default, since she and [livejournal.com profile] masteraleph are the same person...

Meanwhile, she knew that [livejournal.com profile] cynara_linnaea would be there and didn't bother saying anything to me!

*Edit* On our way back from [livejournal.com profile] mbarr's, we ran into AG (AG [male] who we knew from Penn who then ran off to Israel for law school as opposed to AG [female] who goes to JTS...). I ended up staying behind to talk to him, and it got to be really late, though neither of us had a watch. We had been walking home from [livejournal.com profile] mbarr's around 12:15ish, and I got in to the apartment around 2:00am!!!! So there was not a lot of sleep for me. But that was okay, because I was really happy to be able to talk to AG.

Saturday morning we davened at KOE and got there in time for Torah Reading and I got to do Anim Zmirot, since they started letting women do it. I messed it up quite a bit and had I known I was going to mess up I probably would have let [livejournal.com profile] cynara_linnaea have it. Oh well.

Lunch at [livejournal.com profile] masteraleph's was big, and fun, despite the lack of blech (they have a brand new oven and didn't realize that it automatically turns off.) Besides previously mentioned people, [livejournal.com profile] nuqotw was there as well!

In the afternoon [livejournal.com profile] taylweaver, [livejournal.com profile] crewgrrl, [livejournal.com profile] mbarr, [livejournal.com profile] debka_notion and I all played munchkin together in Central Park. We had to end it early because we were seeing a play in the park. In the end [livejournal.com profile] mbarr had the highest level, though we all tried to screw him over by throwing our screw cards at him, but even though the monster beat him, he still had a higher level than us. Though that was only level 5 or something and the rest of us were at 3. Or 2. Had we played a full game, things might have ended quite differently.

The play (I think it was called "The New Recruit") "The Recruiting Officer" (thanks, [livejournal.com profile] taylweaver) was really good, and by the time it ended, Shabbat was over. We parted ways, and got ready to go out to see Stardust.

First we had pizza at Viva. It's been a while since I've had pizza. The last time I had pizza was when I was in Eilat, since there's no kosher pizza around RI. So it was quite good.

And Stardust was a good movie. I had just read the book last week, so I knew all the differences, but I think they had to make all of those changes for it to work as a movie. And it was well acted and put together and everything.

Then I ran off into the sunset, to Celine's, and parted ways with everyone.

My visit to Celine's (and her roommate Liz) involved the eating of a lot of Tasti-D-lite, the world's best frozen yogurt/fake ice cream/whatever it is. I like it better than real ice cream. And it's very addicting. We also watched a lot of "The Office" which GM is obsessed with and I had never seen up until now. It's a brilliant show!

And I slept until 2:45 on Sunday because Celine and Liz didn't wake me up. So I ended up missing [livejournal.com profile] boroparkpyro.

Speaking of missing things, I also missed the 6:00PM bus because I thought it was at 6:15.

By the time I figured this out it was too late to catch the greyhound, which actually did leave at 6:15. I think.

So I decided to stay over another night. I had extra clothes and medicine and knitting, so it was all fine. I took the 3pm bus home today. And now I'm back. I guess in retrospect I could have seen [livejournal.com profile] boroparkpyro, but I was just so shaken up by missing the bus that by then I wouldn't have been such good company. Though I got over it. I don't work on Mondays, so there wasn't anything I was missing. It's just that I felt stupid for missing the bus. I guess this is why I am still the Queen of Logistical Nightmares.

Lol, of course I knew. But why ruin a perfectly amusing surprise by telling people things?

You had me laughing during Shalom Aleichem when I remembered the conversation we had had on Thursday, and I put 2 and 2 together, and realized "they're both here!" And of course everyone was staring at me and wondering why the heck I would just start laughing during Shalom Aleichem....

The play is called "The Recruiting Officer" (easier to remember the title when one has seen it twice, I guess....)

Glad you had a good time. I had fun hosting you.

Plus, it's fun to learn about more people's LJ's and attach names to user names. Now I know who [livejournal.com profile] cyanara_linnaea is. So thank you to [livejournal.com profile] masteraleph for hosting her, and to you for using her username in this post. :)

When I have people's LJ names, usually I'll use them in my posts, since some people don't want me to use their real names online. Otherwise I'll use initials, unless it's people who I mention so rarely and provide so few details about that it would matter, and then I'll use first names.

It's amusing that almost everyone I saw (or didn't see in [livejournal.com profile] boroparkpyro's case) was a LiveJournal person.

And thank you again for hosting me. You have to tell me what the yarn ends up becoming!

Oops. A typo. meant [livejournal.com profile] cynara_linnaea.

And yeah, I like to use the lj usernames also.

Actually, I knew that both of them would be there, but hey, like was already said, why ruin a good surprise? You neglected, incidentally, to mention running into AG.
