Finding places to stay:
Monday night
Tuesday night and Wednesday day(Shavuot)- joining AP at this Israeli professor's house, somewhere else in Jerusalem.
Wednesday night and Thursday night
Shabbat and Saturday night
10 days at the end of my trip (I get to stay with my cousins on their awesome kibbutz. I might even be able to go to Eilat, or do the desert hikes, since I'm all outdoorsy now that I'm an archaeologist.)

So this is a lot less bad than it previously was. But still not 100% set yet...

Here's to hoping that things work themselves out at the last minute, and to Hobbity skills of logistics.

Wait - you're in Israel? (I'm a little behind...)
I have friends in Jerusalem if you don't mind VERY odd rabbinical students for Shavuot or Shabbat.

I also have less observant friends elsewhere, but doesn't help for chag/shabbat needs.
