I came to the high rise south rooftop lounge to work on some stuff. Nothing intense, just a 5 page paper on JitW (JitW!!!), a personal statement for grad school, and a progress report for Dr. Erickson about the progress that I've made on my thesis, since he's my *official* anthro advisor even if Ben is my actual advisor. None of these are due tomorrow.

However, I'm having trouble working, probably because I'm hungry.

But I'm too tired to do the fleishing dishes in my sink, which need to be done before I can make pasta (which isn't inherently dairy, but I like to eat it with cheese.) And the hunger contributes to the tiredness.

Normally the easiest way to break the cycle is to go to the dining hall and eat lunch there. But alas, it is Sunday, and the dining hall is closed on Sundays.

I could theoretically heat up some soup in the microwave, but last night there was an incident in which there was a bug in the microwave, so I'm reluctant to use it until I've cleaned it and rekashered it. I also have to buy some traps. But on the plus side this is the first bug I've seen this year, so at least I've managed to be fine thus far.

I don't have time or energy to go to Cherry Street.

And there's free pizza at SNL, but that's not until 7 and at 7 I have a conference call for the Koach Kallah planning. I'm hoping to grab pizza before the call, but that's contingent on the pizza coming on time. And I don't think I can last that long.

I don't have any substantial food in my kitchen that doesn't require at least microwaving. I could have ice cream, but I did that last night, and I need actual nutrition, preferably in the form of hot food. And a caramel apple cider does not count as "food." Really, I want carbohydrates in the form of something that's not sweet. Pasta, pizza, potato kugel, fries, etc. All are good options. Or meat. Meat is good.

If I could use a microwave in north I can heat up the leftover kasha bow ties from Friday dinner that are currently in 309's fridge...

Can someone please feed me kosher food before I die of starvation?
