There seem to be a lot of people with Indiana-jones style hats. There are also many people in kippot. I wonder what the kippah:Indiana Jones hat ratio is.
SBL is way bigger than ASOR. Is bible an easier field than archaeology to go into?
Thus far no one has noticed my lack of badge. I could probably get away with wearing my ASOR one.

Wireless is extremely expensive here. $5 an hour or $50 a day! You can get a month of internet in an apartment/business for $18 a moth. Do people actually pay for this conference wireless?

The art in this building is extremely weird.
No one walks on the escalator in this city. Everyone just stands there, even if it's an especially long escalator. They must not be in as much of a rush.
The metro doors take a long time to open. Usually people will wait for those on the train to exit before boarding.
The farecard thing is really annoying, even if it is cheaper than NYC. Charlie and the MTA anybody?
My clothing isn't so out of place. Huzzah!
I'm really good at dragging big suitcases on and off escalators now.
