What is this? All of a sudden everyone wants to commission a kippah from me! (Which is a good thing, provided I can finish them all in time.
I just got a call from the Rabbi's wife (Rabbi here meaning R. Franklin of Temple Emmanu-el, the Conservative shul in Providence) that her daughter is getting bat-mitzvahed, they got a tallis in Israel, and the kippah that came with it was one of those ugly silk "Jew for a day"* kippahs so they wanted a knit one, which would match the tallis.
So I said sure. And I just e-mailed her all my kippahy info.
Hopefully by the time I finish that (and
kellev's**, and another one which I can't currently divulge details on) I'll have a shiny new digital camera. Or maybe I can super-knit tonight, and at least finish one while I can take a picture with mom's camera.
*My wording, not hers. She said something like "not good"
**By the way,
kellev, you're paying me for the Jerusalem kippah, right?

Date: 2006-08-21 07:24 pm (UTC)Ok. It might take a while. Do you have a certain deadline that you want the kippah for? (I try to arrange my projects on urgency. Of course, until I know what the Rabbi's Wife wants, I can't even start hers. So I'm working on yours now...)
