I went to bed at 11:40 after working on the leining, thinking I'd get up at 5 to finish it. After all, that's sleeping in by archaeological standards.

The phone rang at 12:45. It was Stevie.

"You were asleep?"

Yeah. I was. I talked to him for a bit, since he's going to be unphoneable till Sunday/Monday, but then his phone died (which is often the case) and I tried to go back to bed.

It didn't work.

So I'm up. I can learn the leining now if Mittens stops being annoying. Go away! You don't need to be petted at 2am. And stop sitting on my tikkun!

I was glad to hear from him after not talking to him for 2 months (he said he'd e-mail me, but he didn't. Lazy bum!) I think if it had been someone else, I would have been more annoyed. I mean, I wasn't really annoyed until I couldn't go back to sleep.

Can one of you Maryland people convince him to get IM? Please?
