So I had e-mailed Tirza on Sunday asking if I could lein or lead something for Kedem this week. I got an e-mail from her just now (like not even I checked it just now but it came in just now) saying that everything has been filled. Which of course is the case when you don't get back to me by Friday.

It's my last Shabbat in Jerusalem and I don't get to lead anything this week :( And next week I'm in Providence where there's no egalitarian minyan I could daven at. I'd much rather be at the Orthodox minyan than go to my Grandma's Conservative church, I mean shul.

And then the 25th will be before people get back, so I doubt there's CJC. It'll just be OCP grad students. Which is very very very un-singingy.

So 3 weeks in a row without leading anything. Can I make it? Only time will tell.

(And yes, I know there are those of you who haven't led in over 4 years. But you can always choose to daven elsewhere, especially if you're male.)

And also- for High Holiday leining I've been given Yom Kippur Mincha. Which I don't know so well but am guessing it's a boring service. Is there anything pretty about Yom Kippur mincha that can be sung?

Not particularly. It's basically "don't sleep with so and so, don't sleep with so and so, don't sleep with whatever, don't be gay."

That's just the Torah reading :-p

I actually looked it over. It's not too bad. There's a bunch of stuff in the Amidah I can play around with. Or I could go for speediness.

Maybe there are other things open as well. I'm really annoyed about not being able to do Kol Nidre, even though I had asked like forever ago.
