Jet lag?

I thought that with my insane lack of sleep I would have no trouble getting to bed and getting a decent 9 hours of sleep.

Boy was I wrong.

I went to bed at 11 and woke up at 1. I went back to bed and woke up again at 3. After that I tried going back to bed and gave up at 4:30, took a shower and got dressed, and now I'm here on the patio. Breakfast isn't for another hour.

I'm not sure what did it. It might be that the medication I'm on keeps me up, which is normally never a problem because I take it in the morning and by night it's fine. However, with the time difference, I ended up taking it at 3pm Israeli time, and even though I took less than normal, I still am full of energy. Even with 4 hours of sleep.

On the plus side, that gives me even more time to go skirt shopping this morning. I'm meeting someone at 12 on Emek R'faim, and it looks like I'll even have time to walk there. I'm not allowed to ride buses within Jerusalem. Therefore I usually rely on cabs, or my own two legs. Usually I'll try to go for the latter, since it saves me money, gives me exercise, and I can stop in stores on my way or admire the scenery or something. That, and I don't have to deal with sketchy Israeli cab drivers.

And it is so beautiful out! The sun does wonders for one's spirit.

Not 'allowed' to take buses?

My parents won't let me. Not that they would have any way of knowing, but considering that they are paying for this trip, I think it's only fair to respect their wishes.
