Ah!!! Me too!! The whole week after you posted it. And then Friday I had us do it at Kesher services...and our JCSC applauded at the end lol.

I was actually thinking it'd be cool to do a whole shabbat service to pop songs...you know a finding holiness in the world around you kind of thing. Dinner to be followed with a text study on our values and US pop culture.

Exactly. I think the bigger challenge is seeing to what extent its possible to find a kesher between the song's original lyrics and the text they're being used for. For "Every Time we Touch," I described it as a kind of Shir HaShirim for our generation...half joking, but still.

But let me know what you figure out...its sort of a project that will be in the back of my mind for awhile.
