I may or may not be staying at the Shaneson's house this year for the sedarim. Mr. Shaneson wasn't sure whether or not they were going to be around and has to ask his wife. Meanwhile, they usually make seder the first night and the J's come over [that's how I met J.J., who is quite hobbity :)] and this year R.J. told me that her family is making seder and the Shanesons were going there, and that I was invited to the seder if I was around. So maybe there's a lack of communication. Imagine, if you will, this amusing fictionalized conversation that could have happened:
Mr. S.: I have to ask [my wife] whether or not we're going to be around this year.
Me: RJ told me that they were making a seder this year, and that you were going there.
Mr. S.: I didn't know that. How come you know more about our seder plans than I do?
Me: My hobbity skills.
As it was he asked me the normal questions of what was my major, what year I am, what I'm planning on doing, etc.
So hopefully they actually will be around and I can go there. I have an ambiguous meal invite to JG's and maybe I can also have a meal at
groovin_reuven's house.
