From the waiting room
Nov. 10th, 2008 03:19 pmI just saw the nurse, who got me an appointment to see the doctor. It isn't strep. It might be mono. I really hope it isn't mono, because that would suck. I can't just stop going to class and stuff. I would hate having to withdraw for the semester, though it would give me more time at the div school.
Maybe it's something else. It would be nice if it were something that could just be treated with antibiotics. I was on antibiotics a lot when I was really young, but since then I've only been on them once or twice, so my body probably hasn't built up and immunity to them.
~~~~~~
Now I'm in the examining room, though the medical person who brought me here said to take out my laptop again, since it could be a while.
Also, this morning when I stopped by section, professor Nasrallah asked how I was, and I said I was still sick, and she said "go home, get better!" and that I could come to section on Wednesday, or whenever I was feeling better. She's really awesome. I think I'll make her a purple scarf or hat or something.
~~~~~~~~
Update:
The fever is gone! 98.8. I'm staying at home tonight and not HRSFA-ing just to be sure I'm actually getting better. (HRSFA-ing would be a really bad idea, right?) Maybe I can borrow the Dr. Who DVDs and watch them on my own this week.
