I'm going to die a papery death
Dec. 13th, 2007 08:26 pm2.5 pages. That's it. That's all I have to write. But the catch is that I have to write it. And soon, if I want it proofread/if I want sleep. I think I chose a topic that is too large for 2.5 pages.
I'm writing about whether or not we can know the true intent behind Paul's letters, how we would go about doing this, whether or not we should even be trying to get at the "true" meaning (since it risks reifying specific interpretations at the expense of others) and can we interpret the text to say what we want it to say. All these are among other things.
Keep in mind I also somehow have to use a passage from a Pauline letter from the list of passages we can choose, and quote at least one scholar on a list of scholars. I have the scholar and the passages, I think. But really, this should be a 10 page paper.
And I'm afraid that I have so many ideas that I'm not going to be able to talk about any of them in depth, and I'll get a billion points off for that.
