Schedule? What schedule?
Oct. 31st, 2007 10:39 pmThe paper took way longer than it should have. I've been out of shape, paper-writing-wise. It took me until late last night to remember my secret technique for getting through tough spots. What I do is I write in blue to get the ideas out, and then when it becomes real paragraphs I change it back to black (cause once you go black, you never go back!) Once I had that down, it was a lot easier for me to jump from section to section and fill in what I could. Eventually things became real paragraphs. I didn't have any transitions between sections and I probably could have given it a better flow, but I finished it at 2:57. So I printed it out and ran over to the semitic museum, where class wasn't starting yet because Dr. M. usually runs a few minutes late.
Unfortunately this gave me no time to eat lunch (since I was in the library from 11-3) nor did it give me time to study for my German vocab quiz. Nor did it give me time to do my German homework for that matter.
When I went to the library for me 20 minutes in between classes, KC was there, and he had the assignments already up so he printed them out for me. I started to do the homework assignment we were handing in, but ended up breaking down and crying in the computer lab. I looked over the vocab sheet and headed to class, and I was still in tears when I sat down next to AD (who was knitting a sock. Finally, she's bringing her knitting to class. Took her long enough!). I told Dr. S. how I spent the entire day (or past 3 days, depending on how you look at it) writing this paper and she said to make up the quiz and take the time to go out and eat and feel better. So I took my lunch and ate on the bench outside. I had packed myself 2 deli sandwiches, made with corned beef, whole wheat bread, honey, and mustard. Basically as close as I can get to a deli-roll without having a fleishig oven. Then I went back into class.
And then I went home, watched Buffy, ate dinner when I was no longer fleishig, watched more Buffy, and now I'm going to go to bed. I have all day tomorrow to work on the midterm due Friday, but I feel bad waiting until now. Unfortunately I really had no other choice. It was either that or not finish the Idrimi paper.
