I arrived in Jerusalem, safe and sound, staying at A.P.'s apartment. She's out rock-climbing in Zichron Ya'akov (which is actually right near Tel Dor!) at the moment. I've showered and changed into new clothes, much needed after spending the past day on an airplane. Part of me wants to walk around carrying my patiche and trowel, but I doubt the Israeli security guards would be pleased, and people would look at me funny.
I'm starving, so I think I'm going to get a late lunch somewhere. I like the restaraunts on Emek Refaim, but I also wanted to go shopping on Ben Yehuda Street. I suppose I could do both, though it involves a lot of walking. I'm kinda equidistant from both right now.
It's so beautiful here! I'll probably be taking a billion pictures, though I don't want to seem like a tourist. I don't consider myself one anymore. I just like taking pictures of pretty things. (Look at all the Penn photos I've taken. I was definitely not a tourist at my own school...) Maybe I'll jsut walk around, and enjoy the Israeliness of it.
Why did I ever think that I wanted to live anywhere else but here?
