I'm chilling out in the museum now, before I have to head back and make lasagna for Saturday lunch and pack more. I have no clue what's going on saturday night (besides packing) or for shalshuddis or anything else for that matter. I'm just thinking about how I get to graduate.

I'm excited for Israel, though I still need a place to stay for shavuot and shabbat before the dig starts. Anyone want to host a hobbit?

And in completely unrelated news, there's this awesome lj community called [livejournal.com profile] 3000in2007 that is trying to donate 3000 handcrafted items to charity this year. Whoever makes an item can donate to whatever charity they'd like. And then people post pictures, say where they're donating the item(s) and there's an item count. I've made 4 things for them so far, since I've been busy with all of my other knitting. Not to mention schoolwork. So they just got LJ spotlighted today, which makes me happy, because now more people will join and donate things.

I wish I could knit more for charity. Gerianne gave me a bunch of scrap yarn, and most of that is going to be knitted up into charity items. It's all acrylic.

I'm also getting a spinning wheel for my graduation present!!!! I'll probably end up spinning a bit of yarn for charity. So if anyone wants to knit with handspun yarn, and doesn't mind parting with whatever you make and donating it to charity, let me know. (I'm thinking of [livejournal.com profile] crewgrrl, [livejournal.com profile] miss_yt, [livejournal.com profile] platypuses once you start knitting, [livejournal.com profile] cynara_linnaea if you have time and feel like it, [livejournal.com profile] noam_rion, [livejournal.com profile] mamadeb, and anyone else on my flist who knits/crochets. Assuming you have the time. But free knitting with handspun wool is always fun, right?) Otherwise it'll go to whoever in the [livejournal.com profile] 3000in2007 community wants it. But I figured that I'd give you dibs on the awesome charity knittingness of it.

And I just "bought" a bunch of things with the points I got from dining, including a massage chair. It's all free. And I still have 88 dining dollars left after taking everyone out to lunch in the library cafe for the past week, giving people starbuck's drinks while they were still open, etc. So those will be donated.

And I cleaned a lot last night and packed and packed and packed. And then I found all of these meal tickets! I knew I had a ton somewhere! I guess it doens't matter since I never used up the entirety of my meal plan anyways, and now I can use them for when I come back to visit Penn. Which presumably I'll have to do, with my abundance of diningness. If we can pay for the shabbat dinner with meals tonight, I can treat y'allz who I'm eating with. And still have tons extra. I think I have 12 or so.
