I just got a response from Hellerstein. She says I just have to listen to S.G. talk about her work, and give a progress report (or lack of progress report). Phew. Now I can go back to building an ostentatious vocabulary (that will make me sound erudite).

Read [livejournal.com profile] sen_ichi_rei and your GRE verbal score is guaranteed to go up at least 50 points (or your money* back)!

And on a completely unrelated note: what should I name my patiche? (And my trowel for that matter.)The trowel is male, and I haven't determined a gender for the patiche. I guess it'll depend on the name that I choose, and how I feel once i've actually used it. Points if your name suggestion is used.

*Imagine if people actually paid to read my LJ...

I called my mom and [livejournal.com profile] lopaanre today. Mom doesn't associate numbers with colors, but 4 has always been her favorite number and she doesn't know why. [livejournal.com profile] lopaanre doesn't do anything at all. I suppose I could call Dad as well (though now I'm in the library, so I can't) but he's not really a numbers person as far as I know. Well he used to be an accountant and has an MBA and runs a hardware store, but for some reason I think of Mom (who also has an MBA) as more of a numbers person than Dad. I guess I should call him, then.

I'm also getting some shiny yarn shipped to me. So I can start on A.B.'s Jayne hat, and a blanket for myself.

I think I'll send out the Ein Gedi letter now, since Ben never wrote back after I sent him the final(?) copy. <--Did that right now (after I did the letter to Gerianne) And then I can e-mail Gerianne. <-- Just did that. Yay!

And that stupid puzzle is still addicting. I've gotten pretty far, and even made some progress this morning. Where are you at [livejournal.com profile] desh?

I'm in the library now, having survived the thesis meeting. It turns out that a lot of my ritual sources for the anthro thesis may be applicable to the Jewish studies one. And thus I am actually doing work for both! I actually am excited to get going on the Jewish studies thesis. I just need to set aside some time to work on it.

My GRE is at 11:00 AM tomorrow. I thought I had scheduled it for 10:00AM but I was wrong. Which is good in this case. I'll still wake up early, and I think I'm going to bike there. It's on 6th and Walnut. (I'd rather do that than risk the bus taking forever. Though I suppose either the 9:46 or 9:56 #21 bus would work. I guess it depends on how I feel. Biking downtown doesn't leave me tired, though the trip back might be annoying. And I have mashing at 4, and I'll be done testing at 3. Not that it would take an hour to get back, but still...Then again, the bus might be slower than the bike.

My vocab still sucks. Mostly a problem of still not knowing words. I'm going to work on memorizing some now.
