I got in to the Tel Dor program! [livejournal.com profile] yadfothgildloc is on the dig, too!

Of course, N and I had a conversation with Ben Porter, [He wants us to call him Benjamin or Ben, but it feels weird and I'd rather refer to him as Porter] our Biblical Archaeology teacher after the 1st day of class, and he had reccommended a bunch of other digs. Dor is a big, fun one, but some of the other smaller ones might have more going on, or closer connections with people in charge of university prograns. But whatever. I'm getting college credit [maybe 3 shiny credits] and I'm digging near the beach, and I'll know at least one person, and I can put it as field experience for when I apply to grad school. I should be fine.

In other news, I have a new Beyond BT post up, a very not-controversial one. So I guess every 3 posts I'll have a controversial one. :-p

And I played A again in Goldeneye today, in the hour I had before mashing. [I'm mashing now.] Lisence to kill with pistols is highly amusing. Proximity mines and anything is insane. He beat me all 3 rounds, but I'm getting much better. There's definitely a learning curve for video games.

And the biscotti are quite pretty. Everyone who has had the privelege to partake of them has been quite pleased. I took pictures, and I'll post them as soon as I get un-lazy and pull out the cable that connects the camera to the computer.

And I registerd to volunteer with Monge on Tuesday afternoons starting next week [since I had an appointment in center city this afternoon]. The lady who is the volunteer coordinator said I could be a museum tour guide if I wanted to go through the 3-12 months of training. If I could do it in 3 months, I would totally go for it. Most of the training involves following tours, probably to learn the routes and information. Either way, whether or not I become a tour guide, I still get shiny museum access. This means all the little passageways that go between the academic wing and the museum wing. And the deck on top of the museum cafe.
