Don't even talk to me
Jul. 17th, 2005 10:26 amI don't want to hear any spoilers. Not one word. Don't talk about that book-which-must-not-be-named...
So Harry Potter was supposed to arrive yesterday. About every half hour, I went to my mail box and checked it. Still no Harry Potter.
At around 5:00 I saw a pink slip. It said that they had tried to deliver Harry Potter, but failed.
What?!?!?!
I never heard them knock. I never heard them ring the doorbell. There were 3 people, Sarah, Rachel, and me, in the common room, right near the door, the entire time. We would have heard them knocking. What do they mean they "tried" to deliever Harry Potter? Did they expect me to stand outside my door waiting for it?
Needless to say, I'm very annoyed. It's in the Post Office of Death [as Tzion and Arona called it. Though apparently it's not so evil early in the morning] and I have to wait until tomorrow before Drisha to get it. And I have to wait until after Drisha to read it. How am I supposed to learn gemara when I have Harry Potter in my backpack?
Does anyone have a Harry Potter I could read right now? Anyone want to type up the first few chapters and e-mail me? It's not really breaking copyright rules if I'm the only one seeing it and I've purchased the book. Please? Please? I'll love you forever.
*Edit: Sarah just came back from putting towels in the laundry for me [long story] and she tried ringing the doorbell. Apparently it's broken. Which solves the mystery, but doesn't make me any less upset.
