So a while ago Andrea Levine told me that Yael Barzidah was living in my building, which isn't so surprising since there are 20 billion Jews in the heighs, and 19 billion of them live in the same 10 buildings. But I had never seen her.

Last night in shul, after services were over, I saw Yael, and Yaelle Jacobs, and Rachel Lowee. Rachel and Yaelle were visiting for Shabbat. They invited me to eat dinner with them, and I accepted their invitation [getting out of my previous meal, but oh well.]

It ended up being surprisingly fun. We had some not-so-appropriate conversations, but I think that made it more fun. The Yaels had a bunch of dating stories, about crazy guys and crazy shadchans [matchmakers, or in modern hebrew staplers, but I mean the former here].

I ended up leaving at 3am, but it was fine since Yael lives down the hall from me. I even walked back barefoot!

So today was more low-key. I woke up at 5:45, went back to be and woke up at 9, napped on the couch so i wouldn't sleep too long and woke up at 10, decided I still wasn't awake, went back to my bed and slept in 20 minute intervals till 11-ish. Then I actually got up. I had a nice lunch with this couple Melissa and Josh and their friends Rachel and Stephanie, and their daughter Tamar who is 3 and really cute.

then I napped, and then I spent the afternoon reading  The Realms of the Gods by Tamora Pierce, and almost finished it. I have like 20 pages to go. I'm such a Tamora Pierce addict.

I was going to go to Yael's for Shalshuddis, but they weren't in when I knock [apparently they got back like 10 minutes later] so I read some more.

Then I went to Mt. Sinai for Maariv, though I was early, so I studied the parsha.

I went to Yael's afterwards to say goodbye to Yaelle and Rachel.
