So when Yosef was trying to fix my laptop in the computer lounge last week things got...interesting:
Y= Yosef
R= Rachel

Y:**said something insulting**
R:If I wasn't shomer I'd hit you...oh wait. If I hit you with this laptop it wouldn't be b'derech chiba(1)
Y:You know, there's a reason why it's called "hitting" on someone. You say "oh, this isn't b'derech iba" but really, you're still touching the guy
R: I'm not hitting on you!
Y: I know that, I'm just saying in general.that's why a girl would hit a guy.
R:What if the guy is just being an ass-hole, like for example right now?(2)
Y: I guess
R:and you wouldn't hit a girl because guys can't hit girls.
Y:well when I slap a guy on the back or something, it's like I'm joking around with him.
R: so you are, in essence, flirting with guys.(3)
Y: *turns bright red* i guess you could say that
R: laughs uncontrollably, and everyone in the computer lounge stares at her.


(1)Touching in a loving way. Accoring to some opinions, shomer nagiah only applies to things that are b'derech chiba.
(2) He wasn't really being an ass-hole. Yosef is a nice guy. Hes also very easy to make fun of.
(3) Yosef is undeniably straight.
