A fast fast

What it's about:

so the question was should I be fasting? It's a minor fast day, but it's not optional in the sense of "I don't feel like fasting today...I think I'll have an ice cream sundae"
but the rules are a lot more lenient.
Anyways, I'm on medication now [soon to be off of it] that doesn't do me any good and the effects are bad, and I didn't want it in my body unmediated by anything else. But I did want to fast. Not having a pill-cutter anyways, I decided not to take the medicine yesterday morning and to fast.
After visiting BHS I got home at around 11:30. I had e-mailed Ari Levine on Monday night [yes, i know, I should ask Rabbi seif about fasting and stuff. but i had already called him and didn't want to bother him again] aout whether or not I should fast. He said I shouldn't fast and I should take the medicine. So I broke the fast when I got his e-mail, and took the medicine.
So Bre and I hung out last night. I let her try some of my deli-roll,not knowing she was allergic to mustard. But she's not that allergic and she drank water and I think she's ok. Are you ok, Bre?
