Mad Frum, Yo!

So Friday morning I baked challah with Jeremy, and he showed me around Meah She'arim. I got a lot of cool stuff there, including a cup for the washing you do before bensching, a poster with bedtime Shema, and a little mincha/maariv benscher.
We davened Mincha at a Sephardi shul, and this old lady was trying to show me what to do, but they do all these extra prayers, so I was a bit lost. Start with Ashrei! Come on! Who needs all that other stuff you do at Shacharit?
The challah didn't really rise, but it tasted good. I had to wait till Saturday to try it.
Shabbat was fun. Friday night we had dinner at Rachel P's house [and I had a little too much to drink, but oh well. I wasn't drunk, ans by the time I got home I was fine]
Saturday morning I slept in instead of going to minyan. Which was fine with me. And it wasn't like I could control waking up at 11. The night before I had gone to bed at 5 and woken up at 8:30 [which I completely blame on Shlomo.]
The lunch at Shulamit's house was excellent, and her, me, Rachel R. and Joanna stayed all afternoon, and hung out. It was amazing. I love them all.
