All nighters!
May. 28th, 2004 12:41 am2 all nighters in a row is not a good idea. I'm not the brightest crayon in the box though.
I went to Shir Chadash's all night study session, and then to their minyan. It had a lot of singing, which made up for all the Kabbalat Shabbats I've missed in the past few weeks.
Every time I miss a Kabbalat Shabbat, for whatever reason, makes me feel like I've just missed one of the greatest opportunities in the world. It's not like the service gives me a great spiritual awakening, but it's healing. It's food for my soul. I miss it. I'm getting it this week. Finally.
If you see a weird Hobbit wandering Jerusalem singing to herself, you've probably found me.

Meanwhile, I went to Dassi's yesterday and today for fooding. They have really good food there. Avi Berkowitz, and Rachel and Sarah Gorman were there. I played Avi in this game called Abalone. The first time he won, but the second time I beat him.
Dassi has 4 brothers, one a 16 year old named Eliyahu. He looks older than he is, and in a way, he vaguely looks like Sean. Not so much that it's really noticeable, but if you look long enough, it's there. I thought that was kind of amusing.

Tomorrow I need to find myself a meal. I have Saturday all set. But I have nothing for tomorrow. I suppose I could get something to heat up on the blech. I dunno. I'm so incapable. I miss Irv's! I bet you never thought you'd hear me say that...
