Sketchy Jews With Sketchy Shoes
May. 13th, 2004 09:17 pmThe title is for you, Becky. I assume you read my journal even whilst in Israel.
After work today I was stuck in Adler's because I had been to tired to drive myself in and thus was car-less. So I was online for 2 seconds and then I read. Then my mom came at 4:45 and we went to the mall.
Since my shoes have been dead and my replacement shoes are kind of tight and not water-resistant at all, I decided to get shoes. I got 2 pairs, one of which has nice big platforms. They're Sketchers. So sketch!
I realized that I should read more. I used to read a lot before I went to college. Especially this semester when I didn't have an English class. I miss it. When I read, I don't think about my own life. It takes up all my mental energy. Few other things do anymore. I guess the test of something using my full mental capacity is whether or not I can knit while doing it. I can knit while watching tv, going to class, talking to people, listening to music, IM-ing...the list goes on and on. But reading isn't on it. And I like that. I need to get away from my own little world. I need an escape. I feel so cooped up here.
We had dinner at Cheesecake factory, but we were split into 2 tables, cause they didn;t have 1 for 7 people. So I was with Jon and Jeni [Jon's girlfriend] and Mom and Dad were with Grandma and Grandpa. Though Mom, Grandma, and Dad all came over to our table to visit.

I don't have work tomorrow. Mom is taking me to the cool yarn store she went to today. She got me yarn like the green stuff I made Bonnie's scarf out of, only not green. And she has 2 pairs of size 13 needles so I can steal a pair and use them to help Gwen in her blanketing.
