Hebrew and Yarning
Apr. 25th, 2004 07:13 amThursday night I attempted to study Hebrew with Danielle, and we ended up having a really good conversation...which meant less Hebrew, but oh well. Sadly, we're not gonna be in the same Hebrew class next semester.
I decided to not study more after minyan, and went to bed. I also figured that instead of trudging across campus, I could daven in my room. This worked out quite well, and I had sufficient time to study. So much so that I finished early and knitted a row of my hat.
I think I did ok on the test. There wasn't anything I didn't know, just more like I started late because Maya was late. Therefore I finished late. This may be my best test. I hope I can pull off an A- in the class. I need it.
So Friday afternoon, after classes and lunch, Gwen and I went to center city to buy yarn. All the stuff at Rosie's was really expensive, but I got size 13 circular needles. [So I can make a THNEED!]
Then we went to South Street, and I got materials for a blanket. Gwen and I have different tastes in colors. It was funny. I got lots of blues, and she wanted me to have weird multi-colored contrasting stuff. I was like "umm...." But we agreed on colors of kippah thread so when i finish my blue one I can make another. I don't know who my kippahs are for yet.
Somehow we got back in time for shabbat.
