I wonder what would happen if I were to do something similar and open the bidding to Jews who see me as going "off the derech"?

See, I don't feel like it'd have the same appeal, because you're already very evidently Jewish. I dunno, might be worth a shot though.

Well either some is Jewish or they are not Jewish. For example, Harrison Ford is Jewish according to Jewish law. Madonna is not. The level of practice, or so-called practice if we're talking about Madonna, is inconsequential to the person's Jewishness.

"Off The Derech"="Off the Path" i.e. not practicing/believing in a way that someone else sees as right. Though it assumes you were once "on the derech." Which one could say I was. I say I hit a spork in the road, and decided to go the road less traveled.

And how many observant Jews would be going on E-bay anyways?

I guess the big difference between Judaism and Christianity is that Judaism only with proseltyze [sp?] to Jews [and it wouldn't be "converting" them, it would be "helping them become more observant." You don't get a ceremony, or really any recognition for becoming Orthodox], while Christianity wants to convert everyone they can.
