It felt like springtime on this February morning
In the courtyard birds were singing your praise
I'm still recalling things you said to make me feel alright
I carried them with me today, Now

As I lay me down to sleep
This I pray
That you will hold me dear
Though I'm far away
I'll whisper your name into the sky
And I will wake up happy

I wonder why I feel so high
Though I am not above the sorrow
Heavy hearted
Till you call my name
And it sounds like church bells
Or the whistle of a train
On a summer evening
I'll run to meet you
Barefoot barely breathing

It's not too near for me
Like a flower I need the rain
Though it's not clear to me
Every season has its change
And I will see you
When the sun comes out again

So today the weather was ubernice. Not just nice, but ubernice. I had to go downtown and was going to bike, but I bussed it because I wanted to go to the gym later, and not kill myself by over-exercising. But it was so nice out that I decided to walk back.

I was going to work on my prospectus for my primates class [due monday!] So I was about to head to the anthropology museum. But then I thought "why not go to Van Pelt? It's so much brighter there."
And I got to Van Pelt, and thought "why not work outside?"

So I sat down on a bench and pulled out my laptop, and started, um, working... Ok, fine I was reading livejournal. But I was going to work!

Then [livejournal.com profile] cynara_linnaea came over, and we ended up talking for 2 hours.

Then I went to the gym! Oh sweet, sweet eliiptical machine, how I love thee! I felt so good afterwards, and I need to go more often.

Then it was dinnertime, but it took a while for them to have anything I wanted to eat. Since I had gotten out of the gym, I was starving. And my stomach started hurting. Unfortunately it continued to hurt even after I ate, because by then the damage had been done.

Then I went to see the Glee Club show with Andrew Janet and also 2 other singers- Sheira and Gira. I had never met Gira. before. The show was amusing, although apparently it wasn't as funny as last year's, which I didn't see. Only recently have I actually started to go to shows at Penn.

Afterwards there was a surprise party for shalhevet, which I was only slightly late for. The surprise was supposed to be at 10:15, but it ended up being at 10:45ish. I got there maybe 2 minutes late. I took a bunch of pictures for Shalhevet.

I have to practice my guitar-playing, though now I can't because my roommate is asleep.

JITW!!!!!!!!!!!!

watch out for elliptical machines -- they're good for your heart, but bad for your bones (because they're so EASY)

so far i've been fine with the whole bones thing.

treadmills are far more dangerous, as you can fall off and get killed or something. once i almost fell, and it was sooooooooo scary.

hm i think i didn't specify what made them bad. too much eliptical exercise without enough other stuff can make your bones (and mine) weaker, along with your joints, because they're not being put under any of the pressures and stresses that they take when you run on something that pushes back, like the ground.
