Right now I am signed up for 5 classes, 4 of which are anthro. The other is Jewish studies. Thus, none can be pass/failed. Usually I only take 4 classes.

One of the classes is the monge seminar, Human Adaptation, that meets on Fridays from 2-5.

As I've posted before, she's ok with me leaving 1/2 hour early for the 1st few weeks so I can get to Hillel before shabbat starts and not be stuck with muchtza stuff.

However, a class from 2-5 means that I can't go away for shabbat, ever, until April, not even to Lower Merion. So if (who am I kidding?) when I get sick of Shabbat at Penn, I'll be stuck. Stuck stuck stuck forever. so I can't visit Sarah in MD, I can't go to Limud NY http://www.jewschool.com/2005/12/limmud-ny-2006-we-got-to-pray-just-to_27.php
or Jews in the Woods. Or away.

But Monge usually just teaches ANTH 003, intro to human evolution, a big lecture of 100 people. And I've already taken it with her. So I'm not sure when else I could have her.

The course isn't essential for my major. Anthropology is pretty loose in its requirements. You need a 4 100 level+ classes in the different areas, the 3 intros, and then 7 classes of your choice, 3 of which can be non-anth but anth related (like Jewish folklore).
