did school really start?
Sep. 8th, 2005 02:52 pmYesterday I learned that Ilana Barach and
cynara_linnaea are in my Anth 002 class. W00t. It's a rule that all residents or former residents of 309 must be in anthropology classes together. So Jackie should join this class.
I talked to Janet Monge, who got a haircut, and now her hair is short and it looks like mad professor hair since it sticks out everywhere, which is appropriate, considering she's crazy-ish. It turns out that some of my Jewish studies classes can double-count for anthrolpology, so I should be more than fine majoring. Whee!
Today's environmental studies class was ok. He was talking about hurricane Katrina, and how hurricanes build up and stuff like that. I have wireless internet in Towne, which means that I can check my e-mail during class. [Did I just type that out loud?]
My Modern Intellectual Jewish Thought class was cut short. The professor was sick, so the TA just gave us the syllabus and told us that recitations were cancelled, and he wants to consolidate them [70% of the class is senior citizens auditing, so I don't think they'd go to recitation.]
Which gave me a 2.5 hour break I had not anticipated. I went back to Hillel [I'm there now, with my wireless. Yay!] and sat with Adam Buchoff, who was eating lunch, and got him set up for the newsgroup. His laptop is spiffy. It has shiny lights on it. Shiny! [Of course, then he had to say that all girls are like magpies in regards to shiny things. I'd prefer to think it's a hobbit thing, since Hobbits are attracted to shiny things. Does that mean that hot guys are "shiny"?]
**Edit: I wanted to write about shiny things because I learned today that the clear stone in my nose ring casts a circular reflected light, which can be moved by turning my head. It's very amusing to play with. I can also see the ring from my right eye, so sometimes I stare at it, and realize I probably should be doing something else, like perhaps watching the road when I'm biking.**
So I still have an hour to kill. Whee.
At 4 I have a meeting with Hellerstein, who is once again back on campus.
And I have no class this Friday, which means optimum cooking time. Yosef is giving me a ride to shoprite tonight. w00t!
