NSO shabbat, and awesomeness
Sep. 4th, 2005 12:41 amI finished the blanket!
Yes, my very first blanket is now finished, sitting on the couch, waiting to be mailed to its new home in Washington Heights. I decided it was very pretty, and almost wanted to keep it. But I can always make another. Ilana and I are working on one from my leftover yarn. I might end up having to buy more, but oh well.
So Shabbat was awesome. There are some pretty cool freshmen around. We sang on Friday night. I missed singing sooooo much this summer!
I'm back on Shalshudis committee. Which means I get to give the honor of bentsching out to some male-person each week. This shabbat it was Chuck, since he was the only male to give a d'var this shabbat. Despite what he may say, it was very good. And it didn't seem long when he gave it, although it was 7 pages written.
Avi Gross came and visited! He's around until tomorrow evening. I'm glad he got into law school, but I'll really miss him. I don't know what I'll do without him. He is one of the most supportive people I know, and he definitely helped me get through the year. Hopefully [b'ezrat Hashem] I'll be ok, but I can't really know, and I'm a little scared. Avi is an irreplaceable one of a kind guy.
Wow. This entry is really disjointed and out of order. Oops!
