Shabbat in Bala Cynwyd

theyellowhobbitShabbat was amazing. I stayed with Aleeza and Gershom Ben Shalom. They have a 10 month old baby named Dovid Lev, and he is soooo cute. He's the happiest baby you'll ever meet.
We davened at Aish HaTorah. Gershom led Kabbalat Shabbat. He and the guy who led Maariv were both amazing.

jtersesk came over, and she came to davening as well. I also went to her house this afternoon and got to meet her 3 cats- J.C., Tipol, and Ari. Tipol was the friendliest. I miss my cats.
Jessica is awesome. I really enjoyed talking to her. Thanks for making shabbat awesome!
A lot of the peoplw who came over are baalei teshuvah. Like Adena, who stays there regularly, or Miles, her fiance. Aleeza and Gershom are also baalei teshuva. Aaron and possibly his friend Steven who came over for lunch. This is like the B.T. hub.
I found out at the end that the bed Adena slept in [I said she could have the one that looked more comfy, the real bed] was the "kallah bed" apparently 5 single people who have stayed and slept in it have either become kallahs or found their kallah soon after sleeping there. I regretted not sleeping in it, but I bet I'm going back to their house eventually [not in the next 4 weeks, but maybe in January] since I really liked it and they invited me back. They have magnets with their number on it that say "come for shabbos..." It's sooooo cute. They are the coolest family ever.
So now I'm back, and everyone is at Mythos [this dance sponsored by LGBT] and Lisi is on her way here. I'll write more soon. I have a lot to say.
