We had Women's Kabbalat Shabbat for the first time since last semester [like in April] so that was 7 months without Women's Kabbalat Shabbat. I understand why we couldn't have it until now [High Holidays] but it was sad having to wait for it. I want to lead the next one.

The all girls meal was really nice. Good food, good people, good Stu walking in and asking us for food. [We hadn't served the main dishes yet so we couldn't give him any. And he's a GUY! He can't have girl-food at a girl's meal!]

Afterwards we played Taboo. I called being on Stu's team, because Stu is the best. He can get 9 cards when it's his turn to giev the clues. He's my hero [or that's what I said when it was my turn, anyways.]

After all that I was up till 12 talking to my friend Allison. I went to bed, and was rudely awoken by a fire alarm. My first thought was that I wasn't tznius and had to put on a skirt and long sleeved shirt over my pajamas. Then I put on socks and shoes, because I've had a fire alarm last year in Hill where I was wearing sandals...in FEBRUARY! So I didn't want my feet to freeze. Of course, this time I neglected a sweatshirt.

We were in the stairwell for a while, but we had to go outside. People were actually stuck on upper floors of the stairwell in smoke and couldn't leave because we were all blocking the way. And as I went down I saw at the bottom people in the stairwell who refused to leave. Stupid people!

It was cold outside, so we went to the lobby of Highrise South. After about 20 minutes we went back. I felt dizzy and nauseous throughout this ordeal, but managed to get back to my room and sleep.

Saturday I woke up and went back to bed and missed minyan. At 10 I started setting up for my meal.

Afetr services and Kiddush people came, and we ate. The meal was good, although crowded [9 people in a hobbit common room!]. We even sang afterwards, which made my day.

Gwen, Ariela, and I had a discussion, about another friend and an e-mail he sent. I also solved a conflict w/Gwen we had Thursday night with relaively little difficulty. The key is to talk to someone after they've gotten over their bad mood.

I had an hour till shalshudis, so I sat in bed and read Howl's Moving Castle by Dianna Wynn Jones. Very good book. I need to borrow more books from Meira. I didn't finish then, but had to go set up.

After Shabbat ended I room hopped. First 403 [they gave me chocolate again] then 1011 [I had a really good discussion with Shalhevet] then 408 [Talked to Shlomo about the principles behind people not being Shomer] and then 308. Simone and Melanie were going to FG so I decided to go along. I now have an apple sitting on my desk that I should eat.

At 10:30 we watched "Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind" in 303. It was supposed to be an all-girls movie night, but that got changed [303 is a guy's room]. It was a really good movie.

After that I finished Howl's Moving Castle. I'm gonna go on half.com and buy Dianna Wynn Jones books. Yay!
