Putting the xkcd back in Purim
Mar. 8th, 2009 10:43 pmHow ridiculous would it be to draw xkcd style stick figures of the characters in the Purim story on my mishloach manot?1 Can I draw sad looking eunuchs? (I'm not sure whether or not there will be kids at the morning reading at TBS, which is where most of these will be given out.) What about Haman hanging from the tree? Haman would be Black Hat Guy, though he might have a triangular hat as opposed to the normal black hat of Black Hat Guy. I'm not sure how many people will get the xkcd humor. So I guess the vast majority of the mishloach manot will be boring and have flowers and stuff. (Though I do have a special one for special persons who may or may not be reading this right now. You'll like it.)
Thoughts?
1 Bags of cookies and candies and stuff that you give out on Purim. There's a specific mitzvah to do it, and you're supposed to include foods that are ready to eat and also different kinds that have different blessings you would say before eating them. (I'm not getting into the whole blessings before food thing. If you're that interested, Wikipedia probably will tell you everything you need to know.)
