So we have a summer campaign, which has been running for 3 weeks now. There are 4 players and one DM. dsKC is DMing (I've mentioned this before) because he is made of awesome. Also in the campaign are JTB (adding a middle initial so as not to confuse him with either JB of swing and salsa dancingness or JB from Penn who gabbais CJC) JM (who is a different JM than JM who is in HRSFA and was in my last campaign. Actually, that JM can be JTM now. Why does everyone have to have the same initials?!?!) and N. N was a relatively late addition, in that I was visiting him during swing dancing the Wednesday before the campaign started, when I asked if he was interested in joining the campaign, seeing as we hadn't started yet, we only had d3 players, and there was still plenty of time for him to come up with a character. He was very excited by this, and joined our little campaign.

JM and N are both elves, JM being a duskblade which is this weird sort of magic user and fighter class, and N being a monk who is now studying to be a wizard. He only can do low-level spells, and can only learn a certain amount at a time. JTB is a magus, which is the primary magic-using class in this game, and I think they're something that dsKC kinda created himself (though obviously basing it on preexisting stuff.) He took the leadership feat, which allows him to gather followers. JTB also has a gnome named Grimby, who is a cleric and can heal us. Grimby also invents things, which is often useful though sometimes explosionful.

And I'm only a little 2nd-level cleric (we started at 7th level).

Well, a 2nd-level cleric who happens to be a dragon. A very young dragon, so I wouldn't be too ridiculously overpowered. And I have a pet halfling who is a thief and sometimes can stop the dragon from doing stupid things.

Here, let's give all the character names in a organized way, so I can make things less confusing:

JTB- Main character is Marquissimo the Great, cohort is Grimby
JM- Character is Muriel, horse is named Raziel
N- Character is Amalayar
Me- The dragon is named Draoria and the halfling is Myra

2 weeks ago we started off by meeting in a random town in the human realms which was being troubled by a magic storm that we were sent to investigate. We all ended up getting sent through to a random place along with some of the townspeople.

Last week we got ourselves together and looked for assistance. There was this large castle with lightning coming out of it that we headed towards, only to get greeted by an army of acid-spitting bugs. I had a lot of lucky rolls in that I could use my breath-weapon every other round, since you have to wait 1D4 rounds, and I kept rolling 1s. We were eventually helped by a bunch of lightning elementals, though we had killed most of the bugs by that point. The session ended with us going to the castle and depositing the townspeople there. We also searched for books, and JM rolled a critical failure on finding a history book, and ended up in the romance novel section, surrounded by a mob of fangirls who had never seen an elf before. It was probably the most amusing part of the session, especially with comments such as "Wow, your history books go into such detail about the romantic lives of people...it even talks about how well-endowed they were!"

So yesterday we had a marathon, in which we left the castle and traveled through the lightning plane in a Faraday Cage, which worked for the most part except at the end when dsKC decided that the plane didn't need to follow the laws of physics anymore. (Except, since we [Grimby] invented it, it was the Muriel-Marquissimo Cage.) The cage was pulled by the dragon and JM's horse. There was a certain point where there was a castle slightly off the path that I decided to go into by myself, so I could get massive amounts of loot. I got hit by a lot of lightning, but had extra lightning resistance spells so I ended up not actually getting hurt at all.

At the end of the lightning plane, when were were near the gate out, we were attacked by this hive-minded monster of doom, which I actually could only fight with my halfing, since the dragon was still pulling the cage with the horse. In the end we were saved by a dwarf and a human who were official people.

Then we got back into the human realms and traveled to the main city, which we reached by airship. We met with some official government people who had issued a call to heroes to help them, though we had to wait until the official meeting before learning much. When the offered accommodations I asked if I could have a bed made out of gold, which I got. (It's amazing how nice people are when they realize you're a dragon...) And we explored the town and went shopping and followed a sketchy halfling-merchant through the back-alleys and sewers of the city. Amalayar got himself into a fight with random gang thugs.

And there's more, but I'm sick of typing. That was the set of main events to happen yesterday.

The session went for almost 8 hours, and afterwards JM, N, dsKC and I went to see the Batman movie, which JTB had already seen but highly recommended. We all enjoyed it.

We might not be having a D&D session next week if the Greek midterm of doom destroys dsKC and I. I messed up a few things on the quiz on Friday, despite the crazy amount of studying I did. Though I do better on midterms because they also have translations in addition to the paradigm memorization, and I can get translations right or mostly right.

And I'm meeting with the professor tomorrow, so hopefully that will help.
