We've finally kashered everything. Somehow we managed to not use the coutertop for 24 hours. It wasn't too hard considering we used plasticware for the cherry street last night, and lunch was fromthe food cart, and breakfast was at Dunkin Donuts.
My pots and pans are not yet ready to be picked up from Chabad. I could try in an hour or so, or I could be lazy and wait till Sunday morning. I could always go to the 7am minyan, though they may not have it. So I could wait until Monday minyan.

Move-in volunteering wasn't bad. I had acidentally volunteered as a move-in assistant rather than a cart attendant for my 3 shifts, so rather than switching, the coordinator guy let me work at the key desk. Usually that is a 5 shift job, but I got to do it for 3. So i lucked out big time. I finished Joey's kippah. If he hadn't signed off 2 seconds ago I could have asked him how he liked it. Silly Joey.

When we got back, there was a cockroach in our bathroom. Ariela flipped, so I went up to 408 for a brave soul. Chuck isn't good with that kind of thing, so Shlomo came down, and killed it. Unfortunately he left us to clean it up. You'd think that if a person was ok with cleaning it, they would have killed it themselves as well... Engineers don't get college logic.
So I swept it into a dustpan, and carried it over to the garbage chute. I jokingly asked Ariela if we should say Kaddish for it, and she was like UNDER NO CONDITION SHOULD WE SAY KADDISH FOR A COCKROACH! And a freshman named Jared turned his head. So Jared lives next door to us in 310. He's a nice guy, and he must have been very scared of the 2 hobbits that had just had their room invaded by insects. Also, the corpse had falled out of my dustpan when I tried to put it in the chute, so I had to scoop it up. I will never be clean again.

We also watched the RNC last night. I was working on Adrian's rainbow kippah at the time. Then there was Maariv [Bush wasn't done talking, but oh well.]
Unfortunately, Bush didn't mess up in his speech beyond one "nucular". So that is not good for us Democrats. Maybe the debates might help.
